FBS Broker, Or How To Hold Onto The Pickiest Trader Ever
This review will be the easiest and the hardest for me to write, because this time I’m going to review FBS – a broker that I’ve been working with for 2 years now. I picked it among a bunch of companies after a long and thorough research, since my list of requirements was so long even I started doubting it’s actually adequate. Seek and ye shall find, friends! Just like I did in case of FBS.
FBS has been around since 2009 and legally works in a bunch of countries all over the world. Being a multilingual and multinational service with 120 countries of presence, the company developed a decent set of various tools to meet the needs of their diverse audience.
The company works under the license IFSC/60/230/TS/17 and operates primarily in Asia, Middle East, and Latin America. The overall audience is approaching 5 mln, which makes me feel easier on any legal and safety matters. When it comes to services that takes my money, I want to double check it is crystal clear and trusted by a lot of people, and FBS makes me feel that way.
I can’t say FBS processes any kind of exotic instruments, so if you are looking for Mediterranean sheep wool or west-Albanian tobacco trading options, this wouldn’t be your option. Since I don’t need any of those and am okay with a basic toolset, I’m totally fine with FBS’ 35 currency pairs, 4 precious metals, and 2 CFDs.
Accounts, Spreads, & Leverage
One of the best things about this broker is a decent variety of trading accounts: both novice and pro traders can find a good option, spreads starting from 0 pip, and leverage going from 1:50 up to 1:3000.
You can switch from one account type to another in case your demand changes. Besides, the broker provides 5-digit quotes precision on all account types for higher accuracy. Minimum deposit of $1 also makes FBS a perfect choice for newbies. No requotes, minimum order volume of 0.01 are also nice things to know, as well as a wide variety of payment options, including local ones for certain countries.
They also have a great partnership program with the affiliate commission of up to $80 per lot. I haven’t tried it yet, but the conditions look fairly advantageous, which makes the idea of affiliating a good perspective for the future.
Available Trading Platforms
FBS offers a full standard set: MT4 (Windows, iOs, Android, Webtrader, Multiterminal), and MT5 (Windows, iOS, Android, Webtrader). The sad news is they don’t have a mobile app yet, although they say they’re about to launch it. Hopefully, it will see the light in the nearest future, although I’m having a hard time getting used to working with a teeny tiny screen of my phone and never use it for work whatsoever.
What I really appreciate this broker for is its customer service. Seriously, after all these months I talk to the support team guys as if they were my fellas. You can IM them from the site if you need some help, they reply in mere seconds. Otherwise, you can go for a good old email of reach them via social media. The thing is FBS has a multilingual support team that speaks 19 languages and has local peculiarities for different countries.
And here comes the best and by all means my favorite part – specials and giveaways. Those of you who have already read my previous reviews know that I have some sort of a sweet tooth for such things. Seriously, in my experience contests and promotions make your life so much easier, and FBS totally feels like Christmas in this case.
First off, they have a no-deposit bonus of $123 for new clients, which makes the barrier to entrance much less of a headache for newcomers. Alternatively, you can opt for a 100% deposit bonus – as the title suggests, it gives 100% of the deposited amount to fuel your trading at least in the very beginning.
Besides, the company offers a free deposit insurance and a cashback up to $15 per lot, and the “A Lot of Apples” promo which is basically all about trading on your regular way and getting a new iPhone literally for doing nothing much (in case you are used to trade actively).
Moreover, they hold occasional special events for traders in different countries, raffle A-class cars, gadgets, and other prizes every once in a while, and so on, and so forth. All in all, if you visit their “Promotions” section, you would doubtlessly find something exciting. The last promo I was intrigued about was the “Robots Battle” where people were competing for laptops, smartphones, and other prizes using their EAs.
From my experience, these treats turn out to be really inspiring and set up the right mood, leave alone the actual profit you get.
As hard as it gets to be objective about things you actually like, reviewing FBS revealed certain flaws I was ignoring. For instance, it’s the absence of a mobile app. The fact that I prefer using a laptop for trading stopped me from realizing that this is actually a really serious obstacle for those who want to trade on the go, travel a lot, or simply trust all their digital routines to their smartphones. Hopefully, the broker will deal with the fact that everyone is using their phones for everything these days, and launch an app in the nearest future.
As for the overall performance, I’d call it “a little bit more than quite enough” – it has everything I’m looking for as a trader, and offers cool extras every now and then, which keeps me interested.
